He made his re-appearance a winning one getting the better of Stephen Earley on the second run lap with 2011 Howth Olympic Plus Triathlon winner Kevin Thornton back in 3rd.

Roe Valley Sprint Triathlon – Limavady
A big turn out for the Roe Valley Sprint Triathlon in Limavady. Paul Carroll (Pixel pro/Olympia Tri) continues his race winning form. the current irish duathlon champ used the race best cycle and run splits to create a comfortable margin of almost 4mins at the finish.
Valentia Island Triathlon – Irish Sprint Tri Championships – Kerry
Mark Nolan (Emerald racing) and Katie Cooke (West Cork tri) are the 2012 Irish Sprint Distance Triathlon Champs. Mark Nolan used the fastest bike split of the day to regain the time he lost in the swim. Then Mark’s race best run cemented his first Irish Championship title, ahead of Stephen Early (Belpark/Pixel Pro) and Trevor Woods (Cork tri)

Ben Shaw 2nd at ITU Asian Triathlon Cup
Ben Shaw achieved his first ITU Asian Cup podium in the Philippines at the Subic Bay ITU Asian Cup triathlon. In particular Shaw showed how much his run has improved, as he has the 2nd fastest run of the day to secure his 2nd position overall after coming into T2 in the lead pack of five who broke away after the swim.
