London is the largest Duathlon in the world with over 2,000 competitors, so for Ireland’s David Vaughan & Eilis Connery to win the Ultra Duathlon is a huge achievement.
The distances were 20km run, 80km cycle and 10km run and our winners finished in 4:01:16 and 4:42:45.
David Vaughan has had success at the recent Powerman Austria. Eilis Connery; the current Irish champion managed to finish 3rd in the 25-29 age group in Edinburgh last weekend, despite being sent the wrong way on the cycle.
