Results, Photos and initial report from the Ballywater Sprint Triathlon organised by Peninsula Tri Club.

“Peninsula held there first Triathlon in 20 years with great success kindly sponsored by Up & Running Belfast NI, Gordons Chemists, DCR Services and Ards Tourism.

Ballywalter a seaside town on the East Coast of the Ards Peninsula was the lucky recipient 30 km S/E of Belfast. The summer had a blip and the clouds arrived but stayed dry until the wrap up. Local MP Jim Shannon got the action under way

A beach start and sheltered 750 swim was followed by a 2 lap 20 km on quiet but testing roads and finishing with a spectator friendly 3 lap run. Trudy Brown (Real Triathlon) recorded race win number 51 after passing Julie Murphy, Triangle early on the bike with .. …..3rd , Kathryn Bell, Real Triathlon 4th from Jo-anne Calvert 5th“.

how can you read full report for the ballywalter sprint triathlon everytime i click on it it seems to be a trucated report and that’s as far as i can get with it
