Barry Monaghan was a classy winner of the fourth Model duathlon.
On Saturday the former ex-international cyclist and national cross-country champion had too much speed, power and technique for the rest of the field over an arduous mountainous course that incorporated a 2.1 mile run, a 9.5 mile bike ride and finished with a 2.2 mile run.
