The Caveman is an interesting format for the end of season. With two runs and two mountain bike stages over the weekend.
- The Saturday stages were an 11km mountain run in the morning and a 3.5km time trial in the afternoon starting in the floodlight Aillwee Caves. Starting time in the time trial based on you morning’s result.
- For Sunday it was onto the mountain bike, with a 23km course in the morning and an 11km time trial starting in the caves again in the afternoon.
It was two of Ireland’s top adventure racer who came to the front, with Peter O’Farrell and Avril Copeland taking top honours in 3h27min and 4h32min respectively.
Avril Copeland on her way to overall victory in just over 4h 32mins.
- Overall winner Peter O’Farrell in 2nd place on the opening behind Patrick Quinn (Ennis Tri Club)
