Emerald Racing team

Monday the 20th February 2012 will see the launch of a brand new Irish multisport team called ‘Emerald Racing’ representing by 10 Irish athletes. The aims of the initiative are to increase exposure of the sport of Triathlon, to motivate the next generation of Irish athletes looking to take the step up to international level racing and to raise the profile of the individual athletes to increase value to sponsors and supporters.

The team members specialize in a wide range of multisport events from ITU World Sprints Champs level to Elite Olympic level, national Iron Distance and Half Iron Distance record holders, Olympic hopefuls, top world ranked athletes and race winners across all distances at pro international level.

The face of the collective will take the form of a website at www.emeraldracing.net and social media will play a big part in creating a buzz including a facebook group and twitter where the public will be kept up to date with the latest goings on of the team. The launch will be a week long event with two members introduced each day from Monday 20th to Friday 24th Febuary 2012.
