Gavin Noble was 25th today at the Huatulco ITU Triathlon World Cup in Mexico. Unfortunately Gav’s run let him down today, in what was another first pack swim and first pack bike race for him.

Aoife Lynch (Cycleway/Pulse) was 2nd overall at the Lisbon International Triathlon. Lisbon is a half-ironman distance triathlon noted for it’s fast course. In a reversal of Aoife’s result on Wednesday’s Runways duathlon, she used her run to bring her up into 2nd place, passing out Natalie Barnard (UK) to take the 2nd spot.

Good turn-out for the first open water triathlon of the season at Hollywood lake in Monaghan. The inter-counties triathlon is run on the novel idea that you race for your country as apposed to your club. Muckno Tri club were the organisers.

A total of 46 participants took part in the fundraising Aquathlon today at Gary Lucas Beach, County Cork. Due to very windy conditions the swim course was shortened to roughly 450meters and the run was extended to 7km.
