Results from TriLaois in Portlaoise. This try-athlon was organised by Trilogy Triathlon Club. David Cahill (3dtri) took victory ahead of Mark McCabe (Sports Med Ireland), with Michael Casey O’Shea (Limerick Triathlon)

Results from today’s Try-a-tri organised by Sligo tri Club at the Sligo Regional Sports complex in Cleveragh.

Paul Carroll (Olympia Tri) continued his unbeaten run at Irish Duathlons this year, but he was pushed close by Bill McCormack (Belpark) who took the lead near the end of the cycle. However, the fastest final run of the day confirmed Carroll’s victory

Congratulations to everyone that took part in this year’s North Tipp Sprint. We had another great day for it and we were treated to a very intriguing race. There were only 10 seconds separating the top 3 men with Stephan T Lynch holding off the fast finishing duo of David Richardson and Patrick Quinn. In the women’s event Sinead Roche emerged victorious with Marie Boland second and Andree Walkin third.

When you have to drive through a snow storm to get to the start line, you know you’re in for adventure. The 53N WAR: Wicklow Adventure Race lived up to it’s name today, with a race that started in sleet at Glendalough’s upper lake.

The second Duathlon in the West Cork Duathlon Series was held in Bantry by West Cork Tri Club.
Duathlon Distances were 3km run, 23km cycle, 3km run.

Podium results from the Headless Horseman Adventure Race in Kilmallock, Limerick. 1st male Michael Casey O Shea.1st Female Roisin Hickey. 2nd Noel O’Leary, Eibhlin Cleary, 3rd Paul Mahon , Yasmin Kenny. Team winner Staker Wallace.
Course summary: 45miles of local and scenic countryside. Bike to the Ballyhouras for a trail run, Bike to Lough Gur to Kayak across the lake and bike back to Kilmallock for a run around the town. Start and finish in Kilmallock.

A top quality field lined up for the Mid-Ulster Duathlon, held at the Meadowbank sports arena. Bryan Mccrystal (Setanta Tri) and Eimear Mullan were the clear winner.
Distances: 2miles run, 10mile cycle, 2mile run.
