Lough Ree Monster triathlon Results 2011. Note: results from the the 200m swim option are below the sprint tri results.

The biggest triathlon of the weekend was in pictureesque Rosses Point, Sligo.

In the men’s race only 21seconds separated the top three men. GoTri.ie founder and noted swim-biker Stephen-Teeling Lynch lead from the start, but came very close to being caught by Eamon McAndrew (Sligo tri), while noted duathlete Mairtin Grealish (Predator Tri club) made up over a 2minute deficit on the swim to come within 21seconds of victory.

In the mens Sprint the winner was Predators own Mairtin Grealish, Mairtin has had a fantastic year and winning his home triathlon was the icing on the cake. Galway Bay FMs Donal Mahon came 2nd and Galway Triathlon Clubs Ruadhri Geraghty took 3rd after a gentle prep session doing a 1/2 Ironman in Kenmare the [...]
