Bray Aquathon – Wicklow Tri Club – June 2014

Results from the first Bray Aquathon Series race organised by Wicklow Tri Club. Entry numbers may have been down, but the standard was high as ever. Susanna Murphy took a clear victory in the women’s race from Orla Jordan in 2nd and and Lisa Howley in 3rd.

In the men’s race Cian O’Reilly took the win from Peter Kern and Aidan Murphy in a tight race with only 45seconds separating the top three men.

Runways Duathlon in the Phoenix Park

The second Runways Duathlon of 2014 kicks off in the Phoenix Park this Wednesday, the 4th of June. Will anybody be able to beat Peter Kern’s time of 38 minutes 57 seconds or Kim Doyle’s 43min 41sec from last month?

Free Dublin Triathlon Open Water swim training – Seapoint, Dun Laoghaire

Seapoint’s blue flag beach is the start for the Dun Laoghaire Triathlon, so we’ll be using it for our free open water swim training. This year we’re teaming up with the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association, so you can get tips those who combine long distance swimming with triathlon training like Ger Kennedy.

Runways Duathlon Series – Phoenix Park – May 2014

Tonight was the 45th Runways Duathlon in the Phoenix Park. Competition was fierce as ever at the sharp end with Peter Kern and Kim Doyle taking top honors. While for many it was their first taste of multisport racing.

Naas Duathlon Series – Punchestown Racecourse- January 2014

200 duathletes in the opening race of the 2014 Nass Duathlon Series. The 2013 Irish Duathlon champion Cathal O’Donovan made his trip up from Cork worthwhile with a commanding victory of over 5 minutes from Nass Tri Club athlete Mariusz Olejniczak and top tri coach Peter Kern in 3rd.

Bull Wall Aquathon – Pulse Tri Club

Results from the Bull Wall Aquathlon, which was the last race in the Pulse Tri Club series. As well as the senior race, there was a great turnout for the junior race, which have kids aged 10-15years old racing.

Peter Kern’s 2011 Triathlon Training Camps

Peter Kern, of pb3 coaching, has just announced the first in a series of training camps for the year. From the beautiful setting of Ballyduff in Waterford, where the camp will focus on swimming in the triathlon, using the on-site endless pool, to the exotic location of Morocco.

Lough Key Triathlon – Irish Sprint Champs

Gavin Noble rounds off his week with a 3rd victory at the Lough Key triathlon, which were the Irish Sprint distance triathlon championships.  This victory adds to Kilrush yesterday and Dublin City last Sunday.  More photos and results will follow when they’re available.
