Ruaidhri Geraghty (Galway Tri) and Cecilia McGuinness (Sligo Tri Club) took top honors at the second Half-ironman distance ‘Humbert Challenge’ organised by Swinford Tri Sports club.
Distances: 1900m swim, 88km cycle, 21.4 km run.

Distances for the first ever Race 2 Glory were 10km Mountain Run, 23km cycle and 7km trail run. Both Ruaidhri Geraghty (Galway Tri Club) and Emma Donlon pulled off a convincing wins at the Race 2 Glory Adventure Duathlon in Wesport.

Results and photos from the Kleinworth Benson Mullaghmore Sprint Triathlon, which is organised by Mullaghmore Tri Club. A big turnout for this classic of the west coast, which raises money for Mullaghmore Sailing club.

The third COPE Galway Triathlon was held today on a lovely Irish summer’s day with lots of wind and rainy. Thomas O’Dowd (Liquid Motion), Ruaidhrí Geraghty (Galway Tri Club) and Michael Gaffey ( Activ Multisport) were respectively the 1st, 2nd and 3rd home while Miriam Wall took the 2011 female title followed by Tara Whyte and Joanne Murphy.

Local favorite Shane Scully from Nenagh Tri Club won his club’s North Tipp Sprint today. Shane caught Bill McCormack (Belpark) in the final two kilometers of the run. Anna Crooks (Predator) followed up her win at the Irish Duathlon Championships with a clear 3min margin of victory over Andree Walkin (Limerick Tri). Photos Click for [...]

In the mens Sprint the winner was Predators own Mairtin Grealish, Mairtin has had a fantastic year and winning his home triathlon was the icing on the cake. The race started in great weather a couple of minutes after one. Ruaidhri Geraghty took the lead took from the start.
