Billed as the fastest sprint triathlon in Ireland the Big Splash triathlon was organised by Triangle Triathlon club. Times were fast with both Russell White and Alistair Duffield (Real Triathlon) dipping under the one hour barrier, while the ever green Anne Paul (Triangle Tri) was the women’s winner in 1h06min ahead of Judith Lowry in 1h08min. Russell White led from the start to win the Crooked Lake triathlon in Camlough by almost 2minutes from Joe Lynch (Pulse Tri) and William McCormack (Belpark). Aoife Lynch (Pulse Tri) pulled away on the 5km run from Trudy Brown to take the women’s victory.
Initial podium results from the Fingal Sprint Traithlon in the National Aquatic Center(NAC), Abbottstown are in.
