Irish Triathlon – Your base for all Triathlons, Duathlons and Adventure races in Ireland

Keith Heary (Carlow Tri) won on the final run from Shane Scadding (Waterford Tri), while Diane Behan easily won the women’s race at the Waterford Duathlon – Butlerstown, which was organised by Waterford Triathlon Club. Conditions were cold and it was reflected in the fact that only the top two men broke the hour on this 5km run, 20km cycle, 3km run course.

The Spokes Duathlon was the largest race so far this year, with over 200 competitors and big entries from Waterford, Carrick & Ennis Triathlon clubs.  The break through performance was former Munster Road Race Champion; Diane Behan, who won her first ever duathlon.
