This Saturday’s expert race looks like it will be a cracker with a virtual who’s who of the 2011 National Series of Adventure Races taking to the start line in both men’s and women’s contests.

Glenmalure Valley for the setting for the second WAR: Wicklow Adventure Race. The race took in a run over Kirakee mountain then cycles over the iconic Shay Elliott and Slieve Mann climbs, with a second run over Croaghanmoira mountain, before finishing with a river run and obstacle course.
